FAQs

Careva is the registered provider structure that allows independent NDIS practitioners — sole trader support workers, behaviour support practitioners, and allied health professionals — to remain participant-chosen while meeting the evolving regulatory requirements of the NDIS. We carry the compliance, the systems, and the operational infrastructure. You keep your independence, your participants, and your practice.

Purpose first, always. We work with people who care deeply about their participants and their communities.
Clarity over complexity. We simplify what is genuinely complex so you can operate with confidence.
Integrity in everything. Ethical, sustainable practice is non-negotiable.
Independence protected. Your autonomy is the reason this model exists.
Real support from real people. We are practitioners and operators, not a call centre.

No. Careva is not a registration consultancy and we do not help providers obtain their own registration. What we offer is access to operate under Careva's existing registered provider structure. That is a fundamentally different thing. If you are looking to become a registered provider in your own right, the NDIS Commission's registration pathway is where to start.

Careva is part of Care Business Group. The NDIS registrations under which Careva operators deliver services are held by Therapy Care and Assist Disability Services, both registered Care Business Group entities. Careva manages the contractor relationships, compliance infrastructure, and administration. The registration holders maintain the registrations, process NDIS claims, and handle regulatory compliance.

We support three types of practitioners.

Independent sole traders and support workers who need to operate under a registered structure to deliver personal care, daily living supports, or to access NDIA-managed participants.

Behaviour support practitioners and allied health professionals who need to operate under a registered provider and want the compliance infrastructure to support that properly.

Small to medium NDIS providers who want to scale sustainably with the right operational systems, HR, compliance, and back-office support behind them.

There are no upfront fees to get started. Careva operates on a percentage of NDIS billing, meaning our success is directly tied to yours. Our service fees range from 20% down to 10%, depending on your needs, with reductions available for each successful referral you bring to Careva.

Careva Credits is our referral rewards program. Here's how it works: For every independent contractor (IC) you successfully refer, your proportion of the NDIS Price Guide Fees related to the work you do, lifts by 2.5%. Therefore, by referring four, your proportion of the NDIS Price Guide is 90%. Terms & Conditions do apply. For example, your referrals must be "active".

Mandatory registration is expanding. From 1 July 2026, SIL and platform providers must be registered. The 2026-27 Federal Budget has confirmed that mandatory registration will extend further to cover personal care and daily living supports, rolling out from July 2027 through to end of 2030. Careva gives independent practitioners an immediate pathway to operate under a registered structure without going through that process alone.

You will be onboarded by our Customer Success team, who guide you through all required paperwork and issue your contract. You will then be set up in industry-leading systems with access to best-practice tools and standard operating procedures. Once operating, Careva manages compliance, registration maintenance, invoicing, and payments on your behalf. You focus on your participants.

Most structures in the NDIS sector are either large provider employment models that remove your independence, or franchise models that dictate how you operate. Careva is neither. You keep full ownership and control of your work. We provide the registration coverage, compliance infrastructure, and operational support around you — built by people who have been operating registered NDIS businesses since 2016.
